Design a Bug Competition

IT’S A BUG’S LIFE! MY LIVING WORLD & KIDDYCHARTS LAUNCH ‘DESIGN A BUG’ COMPETITION FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Schools can win a visit from Naturalist & TV Presenter Nick Baker. Free My Living World Ant World & World Worm kits for 250 schools plus STEM learning packs!

As British summertime approaches, primary school pupils are being invited to explore the world of living creatures by taking part in a competition to design their own bug.

Launched by My Living World and the award-winning website KiddyCharts, the ‘DESIGN A BUG’ competition asks pupils to create their own weird and wonderful insects, inspired by creatures they’ve seen in the school playground or local park.

Championed by Nick Baker, My Living World nature study kits support National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. They are available to buy from Argos, Smyths and other retailers.

Design a Bug Competition

Open to primary school pupils aged 4-11 years, kids can bring their imaginary insects to life using drawing, painting, 3D art or a computer. From beautiful butterflies to super slimy slugs, pupils can let their creativity and imagination run wild, while teachers can link the activity to learning about animals and habitats.

Colour in the fun DESIGN A BUG template or make your own bug design and take a picture to enter. Fantastic prizes include a visit from Nick Baker to the winning school and cool My Living World nature study kits. Deadline for entry is 18th June, 6pm.

How to enter DESIGN A BUG competition is listed further down.
